Since its inception, the Pescadero Arts and Fun Festival has partnered with The South Coast Artists Alliance.   The SCAA Fine Art Exhibit in the Grand Hall runs concurrently with PAFF.   Both organizations strive to support local artists and youth through celebrations of Art  and Community.  A Gala reception is held the Friday before the festival, kicking off the weekend festivities.  The South Coast Artist’s Alliance is a 501c3.

These events are both supported by the Pescadero I.D.E.S. Society, whose grounds have been the home to these events since 1991.   The Pescadero I.D.E.S society is a not for profit organization.

Over the years, PAFF has been joined in force by many local community support groups.  Most recently, the non-profit Puente, the South Coast Community Resource Center, has hosted their Annual Fun Run the Saturday morning of PAFF, raising funds for the San Mateo Coastal community.

A highlight of the Pescadero Arts and Fun Festival is our “only in Pescadero” Fashion Extravaganza, a comedy spectacle coordinated by South Coast Children’s Services featuring items from the SCCS Thrift Shop.  Funds raised by South Coast Children’s Services support community youth programs.

A taste of the community, parents and teachers from The La Honda Pescadero Unified School District gather and hand make the Tamales available for sale near the stage.

Last year, PAFF partnered with Heirs to Our Oceans to make a commitment towards a greener Arts and Fun Festival. Heirs to Our Oceans is a rising tide of young leaders around the globe who are taking the ocean and water crisis into their own hands, educating themselves and others, bringing hope and solutions to the surface, and creating waves of change that will ensure the health of our blue planet for their generation and for future generations. Pescadero Middle and High School have 16 dedicated Heirs and as a community partner, PAFF is determined to continue to improve the festival’s waste footprint for our youth and for us all.

We hope you’ll join our mission to support our local youth!
